Project Challenges

A. ROW Resolution and Crop & land compensation:
In 89 km of line ROW (Right of Way) issues was most critical factor due to route which was through Urben, rural and commercial areas of 4 Districts Indore, Dewas, Ujjain and Sehore. Line has passing about 200 + Villages and 1200+ landowners were impacted.

We have proactively engaged a dedicated team for ROW matters, also started early communication with Farmers and Land owners, local administrations i.e. DM, SDM and with Local Police Support, we have streamlined the ROW clearance process. Our team prepared crop/ Land compensations timely and got it approved from Local govt administration. Also manged timely payment for compensation.

Because of which we have succeeded in timely completion of work as per MPPTCL’s requirement and enabled MPPTCL to secure grant of app. Rs 60 Cr. From KFW MPPTCL and the Ministry of Energy, Madhya Pradesh, appreciated VIKRAN for the project’s successful execution and recognized our contribution with awards to our site team members.

B. Railway Crossings:
The construction involved multiple sensitive crossings such as Power Lines, railway lines, highways, and rivers, necessitating meticulous planning and coordination with multiple government agencies. We have executed 4 No of Railway crossing under this project which was challenging task considering the nature and time schedule of same.

Railway crossings in this project, the task was particularly challenging due to time constraints and cost factors. We were allotted a specific time slot for a power block, with a maximum duration of 1 hour, and we had to pay a significant amount for this power block under strict terms, failures of which may have attracted heavy penalties.

We have made available resources manpower, machineries as per schedule and planned and monitored all activities at micro level for successful completion of same. We have also considered buffer time in our planning, so that in case of any unfavourable incidence we may not differ from our Target.
