Construction of Single phase AC Electrification between Sengottai and Punular
We are pleased to inform you that we were awarded the project by Indian Railways Design, Supply, Erection, Testing & Commissioning of 25KV, 50Hz, Single phase AC Electrification including OHE & TSS as Composite Electrification Work in Sengottai - Punular Section-276-A of Madurai Division of Southern Railway, under RE Project Chennai Total 50 RKM / 55 TKM.
Scope of Work: Design, Supply, Erection, Testing & Commissioning of 25KV, 50Hz, Single phase AC Electrification including OHE & TSS as Composite Electrification Work in Sengottai and Punular Section-276-A of Madurai Division of Southern Railway, under RE Project Chennai Total 50 RKM / 55 TKM.
The section Punalur–Sengottai is a railway line in South India which connects Punalur in Kerala and Sengottai in Tamil Nadu.

Project Challenges
Despite facing several challenges, including weather conditions, toughest terrain issues, and stringing work environment in hilly terrain, we successfully completed and commissioned the line in a short period of time after the site was handed over to us. Our team’s commitment and perseverance ensured the timely delivery of the project.
CRS inspection was successfully done in the month of February 2024. The section was declared fit and train were started on AC Traction from July-2024.
The work was carried in various Tunnels and bridges at heights of 272 m from mean sea level surrounded by the Western Ghats in three sides.
We are also pleased to share that the client- INDIAN RAILWAYS, has expressed their appreciation for the successful and efficient completion of the works and Provisional Acceptance Certificate (PAC) was granted in the month of September- 2024 for the complete project.
